Distinctives

While most churches have a lot of things in common, each church is different. Our distinctives account for our unique personality. Our three basic distinctives are multiracial fellowship (Community), scriptural integrity (Communication), and ministry relevance (Communicating).

For more information on each of the three areas, click the Community, Communication, and Communicating links to the left.

Multiracial Fellowship

Through the cross of Christ, all believers have been reconciled to God and each other. We endeavor to practice this reconciliation that is ours in Christ by breaking down racial and cultural barriers that impede multiracial and cross-cultural Christian fellowship. In heaven, there will be people of every tongue, tribe, and nation. This can also be true in the church—Dothan Community Church is one example.

Scriptural Integrity

We explain the text of a Scripture in its biblical context. This way we allow the Bible to speak for itself rather than forcing our ideas and opinions on a biblical passage.

Ministry Relevance

Our goal is to meet people where they are and lead them into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage the use of technological advances and other relevant media to accomplish our goal.
