Dothan Community Church is a denominationally independent church. It was established under the auspices of the Urban Evangelical Mission of Dallas, TX. The senior pastor (Dr. Lewis) is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and is in kindred spirit with the basic teachings of the Dallas Theological Seminary graduates who are heard nationally and internationally on Christian radio: Dr. Anthony T. Evans (The Alternative), Dr. David Jeremiah (Turning Point), Dr. Chuck Swindoll (Insight For Living), and the late Dr. J. Vernon McGee (Thru The Bible).
